Song of the Day:: Fix You. Coldplay.

I may have posted this song before, but it is probably my longest lasting favorite song. Lately I know a lot of people who have gone through some serious heartbreak and loss. I have cried more the past 6 months than anytime in my life. I wish there would be something I could do to help patch their broken hearts, but this song could lift someone's spirit. The words are especially good.

When you try your best, but you don't succeed
When you get what you want, but not what you need
When you feel so tired, but you can't sleep
Stuck in reverse

And the tears come streaming down your face
When you lose something you can't replace
When you love someone, but it goes to waste
Could it be worse?

Lights will guide you home
And ignite your bones
And I will try to fix you

And high up above or down below
When you're too in love to let it go
But if you never try you'll never know
Just what you're worth

Lights will guide you home
And ignite your bones
And I will try to fix you

Tears stream down your face
When you lose something you cannot replace
Tears stream down your face
And I...

Tears stream down your face
I promise you I will learn from my mistakes
Tears stream down your face
And I...

Lights will guide you home
And ignite your bones
And I will try to fix you

Song of This day:: Little Talks. Of Monsters and Men

Ok so basically this music video is so odd...but strangely intriguing...and I really love this song. Enjoy.

Hey! Hey! Hey!

I don't like walking around this old and empty house.
So hold my hand, I'll walk with you my dear

The stairs creak as I sleep,
it's keeping me awake
It's the house telling you to close your eyes

Some days I can't even dress myself.
It's killing me to see you this way.

'Cause though the truth may vary
this ship will carry our bodies safe to shore.

Hey! Hey! Hey!

There's an old voice in my head
that's holding me back
Well tell her that I miss our little talks.

Soon it will all be over, buried with our past
We used to play outside when we were young
and full of life and full of love.

Some days I feel like I'm wrong when I am right.
Your mind is playing tricks on you my dear.

'Cause though the truth may vary
This ship will carry our bodies safe to shore

Hey!
Don't listen to a word I say
Hey!
The screams all sound the same.
Hey!

Though the truth may vary
this ship will carry our bodies safe to shore

You're gone, gone, gone away,
I watched you disappear.
All that's left is a ghost of you.
Now we're torn, torn, torn apart,
there's nothing we can do,
Just let me go, we'll meet again soon.

Now wait, wait, wait for me, please hang around
I'll see you when I fall asleep.

Hey!
Don't listen to a word I say
Hey!
The screams all sound the same.
Hey!

Though the truth may vary
this ship will carry our bodies safe to shore

Hey!
Don't listen to a word I say
Hey!
The screams all sound the same.
Hey!

Though the truth may vary
this ship will carry our bodies safe to shore

Song of the day:: My Body. Young the Giant.

'
Ok so this song is really my song of the day yesterday...I just got done with a game of b-ball' with my homies and I scored 6 points. This is a big deal for me. So I hopped in my car pretty stoked that I had some points to my name, turned on my ipod and this song came on. I was jammin so loud and it just got me all pumped. Soooo...thats it. This song rocks.

Stop! the train is riding
Down to the station
Where you lived
When we were school kids

Hey! the rails are gone now
And I am falling down
Fools in a spiral
Round this town of steel

My body tells me no
But I won't quit
Cause I want more
Cause I want more
My body tells me no
But I won't quit
Cause I want more
Cause I want more

Stop! the train is riding
Down to the station
Where I lived
When I was a cool kid

Hey! is it my fault that
The fallen embers burn
Down in a spiral
Round your crown of thieves

My body tells me no
But I won't quit
Cause I want more
Cause I want more
My body tells me no
But I wont quit
Cause I want more
Cause I want more

It rides out of town

Oh, it's my road
It's my road
It's my road
It's my road
It's my road
It's my road

And it's my war
It's my war
It's my war
It's my war

His eyes are open
His eyes are open

Oh, cause I want more
I want more
I want more

His eyes are open
His eyes are open

Hey, hey, hey-

My body tells me no
But I won't quit
Cause I want more
Cause I want more
My body tells me no
But I wont quit
Cause I want more
Cause I want more

It rides out of town

Song of the Day::This Dance. Five For Fighting.

This song really describes me and my hubby sometimes. I know we have only been married for a short time, but we don't see each other as much as a lot of couples get to because he has a lot of responsibilities. But it is the price I pay to be married to that wonderful guy. This song reminds me of the times when Ty realizes that we have missed each other and he takes a minute when the kids are asleep to tell me how much he loves me. This song is on my top favorites for sure.

This is not our favorite song
but the night is moving right along
may I have your hand, may I have this dance.

I sense that you are amused,
but you just bought those brand new shoes.
It would such a shame not to give us the chance.

And oh my love there is only so many dances we can take across the night.

So while is just me and you
I thought I might say to you
You put the beautiful in life.

I know at times that you feel alone
when I'm here and I'm never home.
You said before is the price that you pay.

On matters of clarity
is not secret you are carrying me.
But you disguise thoughts of fall
I will keep you safe.

And oh my love there is only so many dances we can take across the night.

So while is just me and you
I thought I might say to you
You put the beautiful in life.

This is not our favorite song
but I wish it go on and on
it's moments like these
singers do all they can to stop time.

So let me just say to you
before the DJ changes the tune
you put the beautiful in life
you put the beautiful in life.

Song of the Day:: Getting Old. HelloGoodbye.

Dude it's been so long! Music has kept on staying wonderful and I wanted to start posting again. So to start off a new 2013 lets rock to some HelloGoodbye. My interpretation of this song (take it or leave it) is that we should stop worrying about things that have happened, or could have happened, or even things that might happen in the future and focus on being happy now. Don't worry about getting old. As Pres. Monson said, "Find joy in the Journey."Hope you enjoy this little diddy like I did. :)

Words copied from: [From: http://www.elyrics.net ]
When we were younger time was under careful lock and key
Now it's open, tipped and pourin' out all over me
Oh! what a shame, that our days, you explained
I thought you had meant they were long
Not 'till the night when I turned 25, I saw that I had it all wrong

I was gettin' tired of lettin' all my hours pass
Hopin' someday soon or somewhere everything would last
Oh, what a shame when I look at your frame
I know someday it will be dust

Not that the thought is that close
'Cause it's not but I guess it's just creepin' up

Oh and it's not that bad, it's all this time we've had
Things that could be, became mystery, we'll never know instead
Oh, we're not too far gone, it hasn't been that long
Oh and our empty tea cup, is getting filled up
So we'll never have to dread getting old

Oh oh ohh, oh but it's not that bad, it's all this time we've had
The things that could be, became mystery, we'll never know instead
Oh, we're not too far gone, it hasn't been that long
Oh and our tea cup, is getting filled up
So we'll never have to dread getting old
Getting old, getting old, getting old
